Cake – Film Screening

Join us for a special screening of Cake this Independence Day, an award-winning Pakistani feature film.

Cake (2018) is a Pakistani family drama directed by Asim Abbasi.

The film won Best Director at the London Asian Film Festival and was selected as Pakistan’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film category at the Academy Awards. The story follows two sisters who reunite to care for their ageing parents and their family home. In the process, they confront old family tensions and long-buried truths.
