Join us for screening of ”Children of Heaven”, a 1997 Iranian film written and directed by Majid Majidi. The film was the first Iranian movie to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 70th Academy Awards.

The story follows a young boy named Ali who accidentally loses his sister’s shoes, and the two siblings secretly share a single pair of sneakers to avoid burdening their struggling family, leading Ali to enter a racing competition in hopes of winning a new pair.
