October 30, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

A workshop designed by Humna Naveed and Mahnoor Khan.

When does a space belong to the people in it? Who decides what a space is for?

This workshop, conducted as a one-time event in Islamabad, explores the concept of storytelling in two contexts within the city: one is the environmental backdrop of the streams, and the second is the political context of the city of Islamabad. It explores the narratives of the participants, as both a shared gaze between people and nature, as well as between people and the political space in the city of Islamabad. In comparing the two forms of Lines, one drawn by nature and the other by governing bodies, this workshop aims to map out the connection between city inhabitants and their individualized perceptions of the city. The lens of the stories is about ownership, memory, and association, and it is intended to remain in a part colloquial and part publication medium.
