Baba Farid Ganj Shakar from the 12th Century to Mian Muhammad Baksh from the 19th Century… Punjab – the land of five rivers – has been a crucible for culture, philosophy and poetry through the ages. Much of the folk music of this area developed around the poetry of the Sufi Saints who presented the essence of diverse culture in a unified expression of poetic thought. Their profound yet simple message has been resonating for over eight centuries and their verses may still be heard on the lips of every folk balladeer from Punjab!_

_Posheeda Qadam or Hidden Footsteps is a documentary by Nageen Hyat which has been screened internationally and locally since 2017. The documentary showcased how cyberviolence, misogyny, and harassment of women is unfortunately rampant in our society, with institutions and law enforcement agencies failing to guard women against this sad state of affairs. Despite an official bill for the prevention of violence against women, many forms of harassment against women go unpunished. The film features activists, lawyers, and top politicians including Kamla Bhasin, Sherry Rehman, and Raza Rabbani, who share their thoughts on why situations for women in South Asia have continued to worsen over time._
